Tenant
In California real estate, a "tenant" is a person or group who pays rent to a landlord for the right to live in or use a property, like an apartment or house.
Title Insurance
Title insurance protects you and your lender from financial loss if issues with the property's past legal ownership (its "title") are discovered after you've bought it, which is standard practice in California real estate.
Tort
A tort is a civil wrong that causes another person to suffer harm or loss, resulting in legal liability for the person who commits the act.
